The Thousand Hills cowherd has been based on maternal traits since its inception. 2501 posts outstanding EPDs for foot quality: top 5% CLAW, TEAT 4% and UDDR 2%. These are representative of the traits we won’t compromise in our program. We focus on raising moderate-size cows to fit our environment while optimizing weaning weights to fit our customers’ needs.

Out of a promising first-calf heifer, 2501 traces back to TH Pride 1421—a 3rd-generation Pathfinder in the top 3% for FL, 2% $M and dam of our home-raised herd bull, TH Gunsmoke 255. Gunsmoke was the top-selling bull in our 2019 sale, and his genetics have kept customers coming back year after year.
